How would you respond

My homegirl is turning 40 and having a party out of the country. She sent me a save the date so I let her know that I received it. Now she knows my situation: that I’m a single mom of 3 and I’m struggling with no help. I can’t even get their father to keep them so she says her mom can keep them in another state if I’m cool with them going to SC. I’ve never even met her mother. Why would I send my kids with a stranger just so I could go celebrate a friends birthday out of the country? Although I need a break I can’t just send my kids for days with someone they don’t know and hell I don’t know her either.
