As long as you're out of your first trimester clotrimazole topical cream is safe. (It showed no ill effects in the second and third trimesters but there's not adequate study data to determine safety in the first trimester)

Yes it's safe. And he OB office I used to work in had no qualms about prescribing it regardless of trimester. It's safety profile is still better than the alternatives. (I've personally used it in my first trimester too, for whatever that's worth!)
