2 months early!

Tiffany

So this has been the most complicated pregnancy. At my 9 week Ultrasound the doctor told me, very rudely, the baby implanted low in my uterus, that it wasn’t going to be a viable pregnancy. She said I’d have a miscarriage by the end of the week. I didn’t like how cold she was snot it so I switched providers. They told me it didn’t matter ever he’s placed as long as he is in the uterus. This new doctor was more concerned about the bleed I had. Which was never mentioned to me. But I had a very large subchorionic hemorrhage. So I was on pelvic rest- by 20 weeks the bleed was gone. Then I was diagnosed with placenta previa and then that cleared up by 28 weeks.

My due date was 2/26/23. But in the early morning of December 22, I felt like I had to pee, so I roll out of bed and I feel this huge gush- instant panic- but I get to where there is light and i see blood just gushing out of me. My boyfriend called the ambulance and I was rushed to the nearest trauma hospital. They did an emergency C section to save me and the baby. He’s 16 days old now and he’s still in the NICU but he’s doing so well!!!! Hopefully he can come home in the next few weeks ❤️❤️❤️

My girl was born at 32 weeks. They usually do really well at that gestational age! She’s turning 4 soon! Congrats on your little one! Soon the NICU will be just a memory in a long line of memories!

I was told exactly the same way at 4 weeks that “it” will pass out of me in 48 hours. I should wear large maternity pad. 🙄🙄🙄 a fresh graduate doctor without any empathy. My pregnancy was very rocky too. Incarcerated uterus, placenta previa, placenta abruptia, and my daughter came at 24 weeks. But she is now 3. And the best person I ever met.

I had a very similar pregnancy experience, and my son was also born at 32 weeks. Fingers crossed for a short NICU stay, and I hope you are doing well too mama!! 💕

Ohhhhh yes! My son has had two blood transfusions because they were taking a lot of blood from him because he contracted a staph infection from the tube they had in his umbilical cord. He also went through the bilirubin treatment but I think it was only for a few days. But the infection is gone, he’s tolerating his feeds and has almost Gained a pound and a half, when he was born at 3.5 pounds but then he dropped some weight, but we are over four pounds now 💙. And he’s now 19 days old. They told me it would be a month of him in the NICU, so hopefully he gets to come home soon. It’s going to be a little delayed because of the infection. They didn’t want to try lowering him from his current breathing or anything until the infection is gone.

It absolutely is torture! Your strength really comes out when you’re in a situation like this! My son spent a total of 19 days in the NICU, at 1 day old he was sent to a hospital 1.5 hours away because he needed an iron transfusion from loosing so much blood at birth, he also had the bilirubin light treatment for a bit too, and that hospital specializes in premature babies and sick kids, because the hospital he was born at wasn’t equipped for his needs. He was at that hospital for a few days then sent back to the original hospital until he came home. He had to be taking all his feeds by bottle, steadily gaining weight and he had to get up to 4lbs to fit in the car seat to come home. So his original due date was March 23rd and he was born January 25th, he came home the day before Valentine’s Day! He’s now a happy healthy almost 2 year old and has hit all his milestones! My biggest suggestion is to never compare him to any other child, he’s his own person and will hit his milestones in his own time. They also use the corrected age until 2!

I have has a 30 weeker and a 34 weeker, my 30 weeker I just started having contractions that they couldn't stop, I was kept in the hospital till he came preterm labor for 2 weeks, he came home after 33 days, and 44 days on a apena monitor, but no real complications, my 34 weeker, I was in preterm for 2 days then woke up the morning of and started bleeding badly. Went to the hospital, my baby had deceleration of her heart rate and had to have emergency c-section, she had no complications, came home after 11 days. My 30 weeker is now 6, and my 34 weeker is 6 months

What a miracle!!! I’m sorry the doctors were so rude to you. That’s so insensitive. I’m so glad baby is OK, that’s such a blessing. I guess it goes to show you to listen to yourself first 💕
