Tv 14 months old.. š£
My husband and I wanted to hold off on introducing screens to our daughter for as long as possible. I would have liked at least until 2 years. Then I went back to work when she was 11 months (4 hour days) and thatās when the TV began. My husband gave in and needed the help of the TV. I wasnāt upset because I understood he doesnāt have boobs to comfort or take up time. I wasnāt too upset because he was still taking her out on walks. Now itās winter and rainy and Iām home too (Iām a substitute teacher so I donāt always have work) but my husband demands my attention (for āhaving adult conversationsā, cleaning, cooking, sometimes sex, etc.) and heāll put on the TV for our now 14 month old. It breaks my heart sometimes. I want the TV off, he wants me to not have to focus on her so much but if the TV is off she needs more attention. I donāt like seeing her stare at it. He like seeing how excited she gets about certain programs. I should also say that sometimes shows demand comfort since they are a little scary for her like Nemo. Sometimes she likes to be held so then weāre all watching tv. Ahhh it was on for over four hours yesterday and she watched it. At least we have shows and movies on dvd and on streaming without advertisements. Any input is appreciated.
