Tilted uterus / baby heartbeat
So because my periods are irregular and I suffer
secondary infertility, spontaneously after 4 years I
find out I'm pregnant on dec 16th. I came into the
dr days later for an ultrasound and we saw
nothing. They said I'm likely just super early but to
be careful they ran blood tests to make sure it
wasn't ectopic. My HGC was rising by almost 50%
every 2 days so they said that was normal. A
week later I come in for another ultrasound and
this time we saw a sac with spec inside of it. The
sac measured me at 5w4d. So they had me come
back 2 weeks later for another scan. My next
scan, I was supposed to be weeks 4days ( based
off how far along my sac measured at my last
appointment ) but the baby measured 6w 3d and
they couldn't find a heartbeat. They basically told
me it looks as if I could be having a silent
miscarriage ( no severe cramps or bleeding ) so I
go back Thursday for a repeat scan to double
check. If there's still no heartbeat sadly we will do
a D&C and I'm terrified. It took 4 years, i genuinely
thought I would never get pregnant again
naturally and now this.. my son (who is 5 ) was so
excited and he still asks about it every day not
knowing that he's likely not going to have a
sibling now this august / September... I'm just so
devastated. They said my uterus was very tilted. I
read that sometimes with a tilted uterus it can be
hard to find the heartbeat and sometimes the
baby tuck's itself away and it's hard to see the full
thing. So now I'm wondering what if it's just because my uterus is tilted. I didn't have my first
ultrasound with my son till I was 8 weeks and we I
think got to hear his heart beat and saw him
wiggling around. First ultrasound is the one that
put me at 5w4d and second one was the one I
was supposed to be 7w4d but baby measured a
week behind. Ideas? It definitely grew a lot! So I'm
stumped. She said there's a small chance that it
could just be a slower developing pregnancy that
sometimes it happens but idk. Here’s Picture of my ultrasounds 2 weeks apart.
