Can a doctor tell if you are pregnant 7 days before a missed period?

My doctor took some urine today and it's 7 days before a missed period. Could he find out I'm pregnant?

I went in after getting a BFP at home a week before my period was due. Doctor had me do a urine test and it came back positive.
