Did membrane sweep work for you?

I got my first ever membrane sweep done today. Doctor said 50/50 chance that it works. I would like to know if it did for you. 38w 5d

Kind of yes kind of no. I had one at 38 and 39 weeks with my first and they didn’t do anything. I then had one at 40 weeks and was in labour in 48ish hours. I started feeling crampy immediately after. Hard to say if it was for sure the sweep or just time.

I put no as in it didn’t put me in actual labor. My
mucus plug came all the way out after three sweeps. And my water broke like the movies at 39+2 I quickly developed infection less than 24 hours later in the hospital, lost all my water and baby went down too many times ended in emergency c section. I personally would never get a sweep again as it causes infection. I think I had it done too many times obviously and that caused it. However, I also never had real contractions on my own either so just my water broke. I never was in labor. I never dilated all it did was give me an infection. So yes my water broke however it ended in emergency c section due to lots of things. My body was not ready for labor.
