Is this Petty ??

LO‘s Great aunt came over with my niece. So my SIL calls her aunt telling her she’s also coming over with her son and when it’s time she’ll take both of her kids home with her. 
Excuse me, but this is MY Home, wouldn’t it be respectful and appropriate to call me and let me know? This is not her aunt‘s house! I get that her daughter is here but this is still my house. 
This rubbed me the wrong way. We are cordial when we see each other. I tolerate her because I have to but I’ll never forget how she treated my child at 1 and 2 years old like she never existed because she had a problem with my husband. 
Is this petty of me or am I right on this?

Sounds petty. Just because you’ve had issues before doesn’t mean you need to perpetuate them.

It's a little petty, but asking you would have been appropriate. You guys already don't have the best relationship so I think it really upset you more than it normally would have if you had a good relationship.

Maybe it’s bc of y’all’s history. But if my family members did this I wouldn’t care at all. I mean she’s coming to my house she’ll have to speak to me anyway and when I answer the door. I’d be upset if she walked in and didn’t acknowledge me. But for the phone call I wouldn’t even care.
