How do you deal with your family ?

My baby is 6 months old, I don’t work because my husband doesn’t want me to. He said that if I work we are going to pay someone else to take care of our baby. Well makes good money. His family (mom, stepdad and half brother) talk behind my back saying that I am lazy for staying home all day and every day(they live in our property, back house) and my two sisters think the same, one of them have a boy who is almost two years and she stared working when he was 1 year and three months, and the other one lives with me in my house, and don’t have kids yet. They all say that many women go to work once baby is three months. Well I feel down sometimes because their comments hurt me. I am trying to be strong and not to pay attention to these people because I don’t depend on them. My husband said they’re just jealous but I don’t like what they say. How would you deal with this?

I would ignore them. Do whatever you want. And if they are in your home and property talking such ways, then maybe it is time for them to get the "boot" off the property. They can find their own places to go and stay since they want to talk shit. But beyond that, I'd ignore them. I am one who could care less about other people's opinions so when people talk, I am not easily bothered. If it bothers you so much, maybe just sit all of them at the same table/room and tell them to keep their thoughts, comments and feelings to themselves and if they cannot then the door is right there and they can leave your home/property for forever and go find elsewhere to stay. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They sound jealous almost? A lot of women can’t afford to stay home with their babies so they have to go back to work. I think there are many moms out there who wish they could stay home w their kids. It doesn’t make you lazy at all. I would just ignore them & be grateful (if you are choosing to stay at home - not just because your husband says so). 3 months is too soon to go back to work imo, other countries give maternity leave for a year or two. It’s really important baby/mom bonding time. And you never get this time back! It’s a blessing to be able to watch your baby grow 💗. Don’t let their negative opinions bother you.

Okay, so first off your question!
Ypu tell them to shut up. You had a child to be with it not to hand it over to a stranger for God knows how many hours a week. Nothing wrong with that at all.
BUT I noticed you said you don't work because your husband doesn't want you to.

I really hope you meant you don't work because it makes most sense for you and your husband and you prefer to stay home.
If you WANT to work and your husband is making you stay home....... Then it's not good.

I think I’d remind them while they’re living in my house, this enables them to work and send their kids to child care as they likely couldn’t afford to otherwise. I’d also remind them to keep their unsolicited opinions to themselves because jealousy is a bad look on everyone and so is being rude and ungrateful

Definitely agree with your buddy, they’re jealous. And maybe he’s wrong and they’re just judging you based off of their life experiences and that’s different than yours so pay them no mind 💜 maybe you struggle with guilt from it? I’m a stay at home mommy, I’m very tired but feel very lucky and sometimes feel bad cuz my sister has 3 and has always worked. My mom worked and my grandma worked. But we all have different lives and different things we go through that are easy/hard/different. Many challenges come with being a stay at home mom and many come with being a working mom and neither should worry about what other people think because it distracts you from living YOUR best life which what we are all here to do and what your baby needs!!! ☺️💜 enjoy yourself and pay them no mind. People who are STAHM’s could just as easily judge working moms but no one should do that to anyone. We’re all doing our best.
