So I’ve had my tongue piercing for over a year. Never had any issues with it and it healed really nicely. Well, recently as of a few days ago I had a terrible tinder date experience and this man BIT my tongue piercing. He wanted to see it so I stuck my tongue out and he bit it. Don’t ask because idfk😂 it was fine until the next day. I know the pictures are kind of bad so idk if y’all can see it too well but it looks infected on the bottom where it’s red and has white around it and it’s VERY painful. The weird part is the top of my tongue doesn’t hurt at all and isn’t red or irritated at all. It’s not getting worse or better and it’s not swelling which is a huge indicator of infection. The tip of my tongue is very red and it feels weird as well but that’s it. Idk if it’s an infection or maybe he pulled it too hard when he bit my piercing🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve had no discharge from it as well. Just figured I’d see what y’all’s opinion is because I think it’s weird all of the sudden after over a year it gets infected but idk if that happens often or not. Also, any tips on helping it heal that y’all have would be super helpful! Thank you❤️
