Sperm can live inside you for up to 7 days. Your fertile window is usually about 4-5 days.
Having sex anywhere within your fertile window or just before your fertile window can lead to pregnancy.
Also, if you're only tracking ovulation through and app and timing sex to avoid pregnancy that way there's every chance you could become pregnant regardless because the apps only guess at when you are fertile and when you will ovulate - they don't actually know...they're not accurate!
