I’m that friend

Now that I’m planning my wedding, I’m realizing I’m that friend.

That friend that gives advice and is willing to help

That friend that is there for everyone else

That friend that loves to see her friends happy

That friend that throws party’s for everyone

That friend that makes sure every event goes perfectly for others

That friend that throws baby showers for others

That friend that checks in weekly to make sure everything’s good

But I realize that I don’t have a “that friend” i don’t have a best friend to throw me parties or clap when it’s my turn.

My maid of honor is my only real friend and she’s across the country right now.

I have to do everything for myself and that realization kinda hurts.

My life has never been like the movies but I just wish it could be, once.
