My husband took my car to the gym today, shortly after he left he sends me a picture of my Bluetooth pairing screen and says “who tf is that” and there’s a random mens name on there??? So I reply and I’m like I have no clue I’ve never seen that before. Weird! And he continues to interrogate me of who this person is and how it got there. I genuinely have not a single clue who this is or how their name got on my Bluetooth. And now my husband apparently thinks I’m cheating on him, and will barely speak to me. I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE THIS CAME FROM!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭

It definitely could have just been someone nearby and your car was picking it up.. I would be concerned with the fact that he doesn’t trust you enough to believe you when you say you don’t know..

Is it a used car? Because I've had my car for years and it has other peoples names on it for Bluetooth 😂 never figured out how to take it off

Listen, I trust my husband 100% but if I got in his truck one day and “Amanda” or something popped up on his Bluetooth list, I’d be asking questions and feel weird about it too. For my car and his truck at least you hit pair on the vehicle, go into Bluetooth on the phone to connect and a code pops up on the vehicle to enter into the phone in order to connect….so it’s not as easy as just someone going by and the car picking up the signal in our case. That’s how it’s been for every vehicle I’ve had with Bluetooth capabilities though, I’m not sure how other vehicles work. 
At the end of the day you can’t really convince him of anything and he will need to come to his own conclusion. I don’t think this particular instance is a sign of projection on his part though.

If it’s the pairing screen then of course nearby compatible Bluetooth options will populate . If it’s actually paired to the car already that’s different . I’d simply tell him that when you go to pair your phone nearby Bluetooth items will appear .

If you recently serviced the car, the dealership tech may have paired his phone to check it is working. That can happen. Or if it is not paired like other people mentioned then it is nearby Bluetooth available for pairing.

Trying to pair and connect are totally different. Trying to pair will connect to any nearby Bluetooth. Connected would be someone who has synced with the car before from inside

If you bought the car second hand it could be from the previous owner? It bares no reason for him to think you’re cheating. Don’t worry too much it will be resolved, I’m sure I’d go just as crazy if I saw that but I would eventually calm down 🤣 good luck lovely 💗
