Reasons for homeschooling

Hello. I am seeking advice from moms who are homeschooling their kiddos. My son will be in kindergarten in august. We’ve been discussing homeschooling for over a year and are committed to seeing it through. I’ve been educating myself. I know my homeschooling reasons but when other people ask my why I’m homeschooling…I hesitate to answer. I don’t want to come off as shaming them or make them feel bad for sending their kids to be educated in other ways.

What do y’all say? Elaborate or keep it simple?
