Telling family with infertility you are pregnant?

I just had a baby 7 months ago and I’m now 2 months pregnant again. It was not necessarily planned but we are very excited about it! My best friend and her husband have been trying for 2 years with no luck and my brother / sister In law have been trying for 7 years with no luck. They were both very supportive with my first baby but I can’t help but feel like this time around they will be upset? How would you go about telling them without it being upsetting for them?

Maybe send them a text so they have the opportunity to process in private before you announce to the rest of the family.

My sister had been trying around two years or more when I got pregnant with my first and I told her in person but I also told her how I felt because I’d felt like I taken something away from her. She was also vary supportive when I ended up pregnant with baby#2 10 months later. She’s even had multiple miscarriages. Each time though I’d tell her I’d like to tell you something but I’m not saying it to make you upset. With that I think it helped a lot with her processing it.

I have been in their boat for the last 5 years in terms of infertility. But I still was happy for my friends who announced pregnancy and went to celebrations and hung out with them and their children, even when I was also sad and mad about my own situation. The only time I was actually upset was a particularly rough menstruation was happening and his friend complained about how long it took for them to get pregnant a second time (6 months) and we had been trying for 3 years. He didn’t know and I didn’t express the frustration to him because it isn’t anyone else’s fault. You have exciting news to share, and that is worth celebrating. Hopefully their day will also come.

My sisters being trying for 13 years with her partner, and I just text my sister and told her I wanted her to be the first to know with all 3 of mine, we’re quite close though and she is so supportive! X

I think sending them a text message before you announce it is courtesy so they can accept it before they are in front of everyone. That's just my opinion

Definitely let them know before you announce anywhere publicly. Unfortunately they're gonna have their feelings I was them for 3 years and I couldn't go to baby showers or anything to do with babies it was devastating. Have they been tested? I finally had an HSG  got pregnant the following month.
