If you had SEVERE 24/7 pregnancy sickness where you could barely eat, drink, or move from your bed, would you want your SO to invite a friend over the house?

I am gagging, dry heaving, and moaning regularly due to this severe sickness and I feel bad but I just want the house to myself while I’m in this awful state. Every day is literally about surviving until bedtime 😢

I’m obviously in the minority here, but if you’re so sick your bed ridden I don’t think it’s fair to say nobody can come over for 9 months. You’ll be in bed anyways, so what harm is it to have a friend over for a short visit? As long as he cleans up before & after the visit who cares

I’m like this during pregnancy. My husband is so supportive but he’s also very social and loves his friends. He’s been my rock and so I try to be his too. For football games he’s asked if his friends can come over, I usually go upstairs and hide. They know I’m sick and not being rude and it’s a time for him to still enjoy his friends. If it were all the time that would be hard but it’s not. I’m so sorry you’re so sick. Being sick makes it hard to deal emotionally with things (at least in my case).

If you’re that sick then the first thing you should be doing is contacting your doctor to see what medication he can offer. 
I think it’s perfectly okay to want what’s supposed to be your safe space and comfort zone, to feel just that while going through something incredibly life changing and draining. If your spouse wants to see people so bad as a healthy baked person, he can go visit someone and maybe also offer to see how he can help you through what you’re going through. This time is all about you and what you need while you literally grow a human being.

Nope!! But i did push and encourage my SO to go meet up with a friend or friends when he'd ask if I was up for it. Just because i feel like complete garbage doesnt mean he had to deal with it the entire time too. Have your SO meet the friend somewhere!

You can gag, and moan in your bedroom. Your partner should have to suffer just because you are. Ive had several times where I was stuck in bed my husband turned on my favorite show brought me some snacks and closed the door so I would have my privacy while people were over.
