When did you leave the house for the first time on your own after your baby was born?

Like 2 weeks. My brother in law took my fiancé and I to a really fancy restaurant to celebrate

2 days after he was born because I needed to fix my drivers license and went for a manicure. My husband stayed home with him.

I think within the first week, I ran out to target for some things we needed & the baby stayed home with my SO. It gave me a lot of anxiety tho

Maybe like 2 weeks? I had to take her to doctors appt. Probably would have been sooner but march 2020 baby… so covid 🙃

For appts like the day after we got home but non doctor related things we started going on walks like 4 days old. Public outings were way later.but baby was born into a measles outbreak and the worst flu anyone had seen up to that point and baby 2 was peak covid. But we got out of the house daily. Arounf people several months save very very close trustworthy family.

Tons of times for doctors appointments. For babe and for me. Other than that I tend to stay home as much as possible the first 8 weeks. Both my kiddos so far have torn me. 2nd degree. 2 layers of stitching. The external layer heals in about 6 weeks and the internal layer heals around 8 weeks. It's just tender and sore and I don't want to walk around a ton or get in and out of the car a bunch. We'll see if this baby does the same. I really hope to not tear with this one 🥹
