Does Melatonin interfere with TTC

Question

My husband takes melatonin every night  and we have been TTC for 3/4 months now. My AF is due in three days and I took a pregnancy test one day ago and if was negative.  I have tender breasts and ovary pain.

Melatonin is a natural substance that occurs in your body anyway so I cant imagine it would interfere with ttc. I used to take it to help me sleep but have since stopped. I didn't know it helped improve egg quality? I've never heard that before. Interesting, I'll have to look into it.

Hmm Ill have to try that. I took it for a while because I have pretty bad insomnia but I started feeling like it wasn't really working so I stopped but if it can help with egg quality possibly then maybe I'd start trying to take it again.

I have been seeing a fertility specialist for a few years and he suggested it. After some reseach it seems to be deemed true. I was way too groggy the next day so I stopped taking it, so I can't say I have success with it, but if you stick with it for a few months you might.

Melatonin is supposed to help with egg quality so I dont believe it would interfere negatively with your cycle. GL!
