Is one enough? Or do I need two?

I am on BC. But not super religious about it. Like I almost always take one a day. But somedays I forget. BF doesn't want to use condoms anymore. But I am scared that I will get pregnant - because BC is not 100%. Does anyone else double up? or am i just being silly?

I would recommend talking to your doctor about alternatives to the pill that don't need to be taken every day.

I got pregnant on NuvaRing and know a few other people who did as well! I followed the instructions exactly and it was in when I conceived my son! No BC is 100% so of you REALLY do not want to get pregnant it is always a good idea to use 2 methods of BC!

I use an alarm so I remember to take it and at the same time everday. The only time I forget is when I dont hear the alarm

If your BF doesn't want to wear a condom and you occasionally forget the pill I would definitely tell him that it's not happening. Try keeping your BC next to your toothbrush. I know every morning I will brush my teeth therefore I won't remember my pill. If I put it in my purse or somewhere else I will definitely forget to take it. Also set an alarm to make yourself take it. I've heard that helps lots of women.

That's very selfish of him. He's not the one that will have to carry a child for 9 months. Use protection and birth control. If he cares he'll understand. It's your body.

1) set a reminder to ALWAYS take the pill. Different BC depending on your body have different hormones according to the week. That is awful to do to your body! If you can't remember, why are you on it? And always use protection. If your other half does not want to use protection for himself, he is selfish.

I think it's disrespecful of him to not want to back you up with a condom. Sex takes two and so does birthcontrol. Easy for him to say, he wont bear a child for 9 months, YOU will. It's YOUR body, if you dont feel comfortable without a condom than dont do it!

I got pregnant on NuvaRing, so no BC is safe. Continue to take your BC and use a condom. If your BF doesn't want to use a condom, don't have sex. It's easier to use a condom than it is to raise a child.
