Conceive without pos ovulation test?

Has anyone successfully conceived without having a positive ovulation test? I've been TTC for a while and never have LH surge. Wondering if I'm only positive for a couple hours each month and keep missing it

Ovulated cd28 I think because I didn't test positive until over two weeks later

Yup! This happened to me in December. I was using CBFM and did not receive a surge all month. On jan 13th I got a bfp. I figure I ovulated really late (cd28) and the CBFM just goes back to low automatically after 20 tests. So there you go!
