When to start the ovulation kits

Hi all , we're tcc #2 .According to glow my peak day is sat 8 feb . I was just wondering should I start using my ov kits now , hubby works away during the week and I'm on night duty Sunday 9 , feel like taking a sickie to maxcimise my chances lol

You just want to make sure that the urine isn't too dilute - which will give you a false negative. So don't drink a whole bunch of water to try to pee and then take the opk.

​I usually take mine after work - I hold my pee until I get home and I usually don't drink anything after lunch.

​You can take it with first morning urine as well - but there's a small chance of a false positive because your urine is so concentrated (it happened to me once and threw off my whole cycle prediction - but I think it's rare).

​Whenever you choose, do try to do it at the same time every day, because otherwise you might miss it.

It's definitely overwhelming at the beginning, but all becomes easier after a couple cycles. Though hopefully you won't even get that far :)

Thanks Caroline , I'll purchase some tomorrow . I'll be even more interested now to know where I'm at because I've definite ov pains last night and this eve and I think ( judging by what I've been reading about other women's experiences ) that I may have had a cm discharge . There's so much information to digest this time round it's kind of overwhelming .

Glow should tell you but during green fertile days but if this is your first month using glow and you don't know what cd you O, you might wish to test earlier...
