Spotting in early pregnancy?

Has anyone experienced this? I had very light brown spots when I wiped this afternoon. No real cramping, a few twinges here and there. I'm five weeks pregnant  and very worried as I miscarried in October last year. I've made an appt to see my OB tomorrow but I'm freaking out. Anyone experienced the same?

An update, I had a scan this morning. Gestational sac and yolk sac in right place and right size. Embryo tiny, barely visible at 1mm.  Not sure what the spotting came from, ob said it wasn't a concern. Phew. Have been put on progesterone and extra strong folic acid and also given an anti D shot as I'm rhesus negative. Going back in a week for another scan, hopefully things will be growing!
