Anyone have/ had the Mirena IUD?

Question

I recently got my Mirena taken out due to personal, I guess, beliefs. I'm curious if anyone's had bad symptoms/side effects from it as well?

I had severe bloating, headaches, lower back pain, depression, nausea, hair loss, and mood swings. I got it taken out and started to feel better within a few days. It's been a few weeks now since I've had it out and I feel so much better.

I have it - ive had it for 4 months & im an emotional wreak - & to make it worse i had my period from november to janurary-.- it was horriblee

I had mine for the first five years and had it replaced in for the second time a year ago.  I personally have had no side effects and love not having my period!

I had mine from April of 2011 until Fall of 2013. It caused a lot of emotional problems (moderate to severe depression, panic attacks), weight gain, and caused my hair to thin. I absolutely loved the convenience (I'm awful at remembering to take pills, hate shots, can't fathom using a ring or implant and it was awesome not having a period) but the cons outweighed the pros for me.

I had mine taken out about two years after I got it put in. I gained weight and I was pretty emotional while on it. Now that's it's out iv lost weight and I'm no longer a crazy person. I'm not sure why it affects some people but I didn't get along with Mirena.

Anyone have/ had the Mirena IUD?
