Can you ovulate twice ??

Question

So I took an opk the other day and it was pos . But I wasn't sure if it would get darker or not so I kept testing it got lighter and then darker , and then I had O pains again today on my left ovary and it looks dark again ?? So confused with these things ...

You can get a positive opk more than once but you can't ovulate more than once (with the exception of two eggs released at the same time). Sometimes your body can gear
 up for ovulation and lh surges, but nothing happens. Then it can gear up again and you get another pos opk, and you actually ovulate. This is one of the reasons temping in conjunction with opks is a good idea. Your temps can confirm when an egg has actually passed through your system, whereas opks just show your body is ready to ovulate.

Don't worry what the test tells you. In incredibly in tune with my body. About every 4th month I ovulate twice. Don't let anyone tell you have you can't.
