Is it implantation spotting or my period

Ok ladies sorry to give details but my hubby and I have been trying to conceive for the past 5 months. This month we had sex 6 times 11th - the 16th this month on my ovulation days then 4 times in the following week. today I got my period we'll I think I did. it's light and 5 days early could it be implantion spotting and if so should I take a test or call my doc? I'm kinda freaking out
