New job while pregnant?

Opinions please! I have an interview tomorrow for a great job opportunity. I need to know what I should do as far as letting them know about my pregnancy. I am 19 weeks, but this is my first baby so I'm barely showing. I know legally I don't have to tell them but I'm afraid they will hire me & then be upset. I'm trying to decide what is morally right. This job would be a great opportunity for me and I really want it! Please opinions!

I would tell them. They can legally fire you for lying to them. That is their work around for you legally don't have to tell them. I found that out from my dad's boss when I was pregnant for my first. But I would just be honest with them,

The day I started my new job I went home and had a postive pregnancy test, I know my situation is a little bit different, but I let them know the very next day, and they were happy I let them know, just so they knew the reason behind if was sick, or couldn't come in one day. -- I would give them a heads up, but that's just me :)

I've been told the best time to tell a future employer is after an offer has been made and while you're in the negotiating process. Even though it's illegal (in the U.S.) to not hire someone because they are pregnant, it's possible your pregnancy (and the associated time off you will be taking shortly after your hire date) may overshadow your qualifications, depending on the person who interviews you. If I were in your shoes, I'd definitely wait until an offer has been extended before bringing it up. Best of luck to you! Hope you get the job! :)
