Any uk ttc? Experience of gp...?

Getting so fed up, wondering if other people from the UK have similar experiences or if it's just mine and my partners GPs.. Been ttc since February 2013, went to a gp after 1 year, told to come back after another 6 months (not what the NICE guidance recommends). Went to my regular GP about 3 weeks later who actually listened to me, sent me for bloods which have come back fine. My partner then went to his GP who told him she'd sent a referral for a semen analysis but found out after 2 weeks of hearing nothing that she'd gone on leave and forgot to do the referral. Rang the hospital department today who said they've not received the referral. Partner rang GP who said it was sent on 22nd may. Urgh. So frustrating. Rant over.
