Kidney stones

Has anyone had kidney stones? What was your experience? Had severe pain into right kidney at the weekend. Managed to see a doc and found that I had an infection with blood in my urine. The doc said it was 50:50 whether I had a kidney infection or kidney stones. I was prescribed antibiotics and was told to see how I get on. After starting the antibiotics the pain went and I started feeling better. However in the couple of hours I've started getting a really sharp pain the right side of my pelvis which comes and goes. The pain is worse when I sit down or move around. I'm really hoping this isn't the start of kidney stones pain and don't want to worry unnecessarily. Can anyone puty mind at ease x
