excess endometrium...dnc?

I recently had an HSG test and an ultrasound. My dr. told me both times that he saw excess endometrium in my cervix. He said that with PCOS (which I have), sometimes this will build up and just sit there. I'm on progesterone now, but he said I'll need a DNC if it doesn't shed.

in the meantime, I've tried googling this, to no avail. I'm kind of confused about all of the surrounding details. also a bit scared of what could happen the next couple months. both because I can't afford a DNC, and I'm nervous about the health side.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
