New cat or dog?!

Question

We have a 1 year old cat and we were thinking of adding another family member. Anyone have experience or suggestions as to whether we should get a kitten or puppy? What do you think would be best for our kitty now?

I have both cats and dogs. From personal experience I would say kittens are a whole lot easier to take care of than puppies. I love all my dogs and have had two of them since they were born but there is a lot of training involved (potty training, walking on a leash, learning commands ect.) and they go through a chew on everything phase. So it really just depends on how much time and effort you can/want to put in, I guess.

I would suggest taking it slow with your cat now force it to do anything. When i got our dog and I had my cats I kept the dog confined to certain spots so the cats would have a "safe spot" until they were comfortable. Worked great for me

We have two dogs and a one year old cat. We got a kitten and my cat and dogs are fine. It takes a few weeks to warm up but they're worth it!
