Baby shower/registry

Ok I am 17 weeks pregnant. So the topic of baby showers have now come up. My mother in law is all about having a shower for her side of the family, she also bought all the bedding, crib, decorations, and a rocker. Also my church will be throwing one for me. But my own mother on the other hand. I'm sorry it drives me nuts!! She always buys second hand stuff that's really not of good quality when she really does have the money. She said she would by the swing on my registry but then went out to a yard sale and got one that looked about 5 years old. Oh and she has not even mentioned a baby shower for our side of the family. I'm not trying to sound spoiled but gahh this is my own mother. It hurts my feelings!
