Tooth pain

Last night, we were waiting to watch the fireworks and our of nowhere, I got a shooting, sharp pain in one of my teeth. I do have a filled cavity in this tooth, which was done this year and the pain lasted about 5 minutes. After that it was sore the rest of the night but no more shooting pain. Has anyone had this and what can they do for me? Feels better this morning but I am scared it will blindside me and come back! I'm just 8w1d. I was supposed to see the dentist then I found out I was expecting and they won't see me until 12 weeks.. Aug 7.
