Christmas plans

KC
I am due December 20th and weather or not the baby has made its appearance by then I am not sure I want to drive an hour and a half to my inlaws for Christmas dinner. It can't be so rude to miss it right? Will your Christmas plans change this year?

Our little one is due December 12 but we have decided that we are not doing any traveling. We live in Maine so get a LOT of snow. Anyone who wants to spend Christmas with us can come to us. I think staying home with your newborn is a very smart idea!

We are due December 22nd, and usually every Christmas we are running around all over the province to see and be with both families. This year we are staying home and they can travel to us if they really want to see us for Christmas, and I'm so excited for that! Cause here in Canada, travelling in the winter is not fun and kinda scary lol.

That is awful! Our snow tends to melt off quickly you mostly have to be careful of black ice! I slammed my car into a

We are due on Christmas Day providing that the doctors let me go full term. I have some health issues that may cause them to take him anywhere up to 34 weeks. But the only Christmas plans we will have is bringing our little handsome man into the World or letting everyone meet him. I couldn't ask for a better Christmas gift. The gift of a life that I created. ? ugh I am tearing up just writing that. I'm such a mess of emotions right now. Lol silly hormones.

We sometimes get snow, but in colorado the weather changes every 10 minutes. I thought my husband would be upset to miss Christmas at his dads but he was really supportive. I just don't really feel comfortable at there house anyways that I don't know if I want to go up there while just recovering from having a baby and breastfeeding a new baby. Then driving home on possible snowy roads in the dark.

Why don't you suggest gathering at your place ? You would get the benefits of spending Christmas with family...

I'm due at the beginning of December, and I'm still not traveling for Christmas. I'm going to have family come to us because I don't want to travel with the baby!

I don't blame you. I guess for me it is just the uncomfort of it.

I'm in nz and it's winter here now. So I'm looking forward to getting out in the garden for Christmas with my family. My parents are visiting from the uk and my oh's family live real close. Can't wait until Christmas. I'll just need to get more organised with my shopping this year and be ready in advance!!!

I'm due on Christmas, family has accepted whether baby is here, not here or on it's way we will be home and call when we are ready to do holidays.... My husband says not to worry about them, we get a pass to do what we need to do.

I'm due December 20th also, I hope I have him before or  after Christmas so no Christmas plans are ruined but who knows. It's a waiting game. My family swears the baby will be born on Christmas Day because my uncle and grandfather both were.

Our plans won't change our family is all here but we do have to travel about an hour to the hospital when I go into labor so hopefully won't be during a snow storm we had a rough winter last year.

It this your first baby? If so at least labor usually takes longer!

If where you are going has a lot of snow, I wouldn't go. I can be a hassle if baby decides to come out in Christmas Eve. But if baby comes out sooner, I don't think it's an issue to drive 1:30h. Unless you and partner are VERY tired... Zzz
