I think I lost my virginity? Help!

Im 21 and I had sex for the first time yesterday (well almost). Im pretty sure the person didn't go all the way in (the pain was unbearable). I am not sure if my hymen broke or not but I was bleeding after words and today I've been spotting. My body is sore of course. Am I really not a virgin in the more? Will sex be the same for me the next time?

Being a virgin is not a figure of speech. It's a combination of having sex and having your hymen broken.
​That comment about it being whatever you want it to be is unfair to those who have worked hard to keep it for whatever reason.

​To answer the question, if your hymen has been broken and is bleeding, you're no longer a virgin. The pain may however persist till it's completely broken which may take a few times .

I can see were my hymen torn not a pretty sight. sex afterwards could be the same or different. if you had sex via vaginal penetration your not a virgin anymore.

Being a virgin is basically a figure of speech. You decide if you're a virgin or not, but judging by your hymen breaking: it can't break during sex anymore so yes, technically you aren't. But the term is whatever you want to consider yourself as.
