Looking for a place to share anonymously to a compassionate group!

Like a lot of you, been TTC over a year no success. Eating healthy, exercising, cutting out the wine and coffee I enjoy, taking the best prenatals I can find, going to accupuncture, using Glow, following all the advice, etc etc. Have had close friends doing the same who have experienced heartbreaking miscarriages.

Meanwhile... my irresponsible-, drug-using-, smoker-, in a relationship with a drug user-, currently in rehab that my husband and I are paying for- sister in law... you see where this is going... Yeah, she's pregnant.

Me- intensely angry, sad, and resentful. Want nothing to do with her. Haven't spoken to her. Don't plan to.

I'm sure I'm in for a roller coaster of emotions to come but this is where I'm at right now:

-her pregnancy has nothing to do with my husband and I or our potential future pregnancy

-I don't have to be happy for her

-I'd rather spend my energy on celebrating the happy things in my life!

-My husband and I are going to be fine, we have a great life, we will share it with a child one day, whether that be through our own pregnancy or adoption if that's where we end up, it will happen

-In a strange way, this devastating moment is teaching me that we can and will get through whatever is thrown at us in our journey of TTC, of life in general.

Life can be challenging, unpredictable, and unfair.

Ladies, we are all much stronger than we give ourselves credit for. We can let go of resentment. We can be happy.
