Has anyone struggled with insecurity?

How did you overcome it.

I got rid of fb. Everytime I got on there, I got off feeling depressed. People tend to show off and brag on social networking. Some people get depressed over other people's new houses or new cars, others it's their over the top romantic husbands, and so on. For me, it was the pregnancies. It seemed like every month someone else was pregnant. I deleted mine last year, and I haven't looked back. I am the worst at comparing myself to other women. So, I minimize the opportunities to do so, including getting rid of social networking.

I'm 20 and I continue to struggle with insecurity. I am very short and due to my height I am a tad more curvy but my boyfriend loves it! I wish I could see how he see me. I'm more confident than I was in previous years but I will say the one thing that helps me is to do things that cause you to think positively about yourself. Buy yourself cute sexy underwear, point out things you like about yourself. Get dolled up for shits and giggles. The more positive light you put yourself in, those little insecurities will slowly fade away :)

I think most women do. Even the prett y girls, even the intelligent ladies, even the out-going/ charming women who seem confident have at one point been insecure.

Yes, I still struggle from time to time... I find that lying to yourself (fake it until you make it) helps me a lot... Stop being negative. Say positive things out load in a mirror... (Example: if I'm feeling fat, I look at myself in the mirror and say "look at how small your waste is! You've come a long way!" I've lost 64lbs in 3 years) when you look in the mirror and you start to judge or hate yourself, complement yourself on something "I have gorgeous eyes!" "my lips look awesome today!" "These pants make my butt look fabulous!" Distraction and motivational words can work wonders on our insecurities... Think positive and be positive!

I've struggled with insecurity for awhile now. If I'm having a really bad day with it, I will completely stay off of Facebook and other social media sites for that day, and spend time focusing on what I do love about myself, and the person that I am.

I do but my so make me feel beautiful he helped me overcome my fear or the mirror and other peoples judgments I'm big and beautiful he says I earned my stripes ( stretch marks )
