VBAC with history of preeclampsia

Andrea
Hi all! Recently found out I am expecting baby #2 and well in my first pregnancy all was well from test results to blood pressure. Absolutely everything was positive and no complications until I reached about 30 weeks when I started to notice I was losing hand sensation whenever I slept or did certain hand gesture but then would go away as the day progressed, it got hard and in some hand positions even painful to do simple things like doing dishes, brushing my teeth (doing this felt like I was getting shocked and pinched at te same time), kneeling down to pick something up (this felt like tons of pressure of water in my legs was building up), putting shoes on, getting dressed, showering (husband had to help me shower and when he'd hold my leg around my ankle to help scrub my feet, an imprint of his hand would be present after he would let go) , walking seemed like I was running a marathon and almost everything I grabbed after waking up was pretty much guarenteed I'd drop (or break if it was glass)- then I started rapidly gain weight, was more swollen than what I imagined a normal swollen pregnant woman would/should like at the end of their pregnancy. I got as far as feeling sick as if I was in my first trimester and could barely eat and some how would manage to still gain about 9 lbs a week. I knew something was wrong but up until my last dr appt before being rushed everything was showing otherwise. Needless to say, I wasn't aware that I was showing symptoms of preeclamspia and pretty much got so bad I barely knew where I was or where I was going once at the hospital and the news was given of my condition and my son needing to come out that night in order for both of us to be fine. I was 34.5 weeks when I gave birth. He was perfectly fine. He just needed a tiny bit of help
In keeping himself warm but otherwise perfect. For me, c-section was the most painful and longest recovery surgery I have every experienced.  Well now baby #2 is on its way and I'm wanting to attempt a VBAC. I really want to try and avoid a c section if possible. I definitely had the worse time with my body and recovery and being able to feel comfy in clothes without feeling weird or possibly in pain about my incision. Of course, I will not completely shut the idea out if it means the life of my unborn child and mine. Does anyone have any stories similar to mine and had a successful VBAC? Or were able to attempt even if it wasn't successful?
