32 yo (33 in November), what point did you get medical help?

Hi ladies!

​So big question here. At what point did you go on meds or have you? We have gone thru two cycles. I'm on my TWW of our second. Should either have AF in three days, or not. Tested got a BFN. I really want / need to get pregnant before October.

​Would you go ahead and start taking something? How do you start that conversation with your dr?

​Part of the problem is I don't particularly care for the dr I have now. I've recently moved. I'm trying to find a better one - I know how important that is - but don't want to pause our TTC for that.

​What would you do? My brain is so crazy right now. Ugh. Help me be sane please!

I think if you're under 35 they usually say to wait a yr to start trying as it can take healthy couples with no problems up to a year to conceive. I'm 31 and on 3rd cycle of TTC  I wouldn't worry just yet xx

We tried for 10 months and then got a referral for a RE. I just had my first round of Clomid and IUI waiting on results. I have a partially blocked tube, and DH sperm count is normal. I am so glad we went because now I am on my way to hopefully being pregnant.

I called around 6 months and my ob gave me a referral for an HSG and a SA for my DH. Everything checked out fine but you could have those run in a few months to check for issues. Just keep charting and try not to stress!

Im 32 and we've been trying for almost ten months. I want to get help but I hardly even understand how to take those steps. I'm at the point where I'm so frustrated about it gnat  almost sure it's effecting my chances. The VA allows woman vets to get IUI there and I think I want to try it, just still wish I didn't have to.

I have always been told to wait a year but if you already have kids they may make you wait longer.
​Our last one took 14 months to conceive and we lost him at 19 weeks. I have also had 4 other miscarriages. Haven't had any help or testing done. I can't get a referral. Also if you get pregnant within the year but miscarry you get to start all over again. It's very frustrating. But then so is fertility treatment. So you can't win either way.

Im in Australia and my GP referred me after 6 months as it was causing me so much stress. It took another 6 months to get a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. We decided to give it this year to see if things happen naturally and if not well start down the path of IVF. I was 32 when I was referred and am now 33. We have friends who have been through AF and IVF and I'm not in a hurry to go down that path as I've heard first hand what it's like.

​I know there was a study I heard of earlier this year saying it can take healthy couples a minimum of 1year to get pregnant and if their under 35 and have no other medical conditions drs shouldn't intervene till after 2 years...

Do they count a year if you got preg but miscarried? Is the year from when you start start trying or in between pregnancies? I have already decided that if I have another MC or if I'm not pregnant by year end (which would be 6 months) I would be heading to see a specialist.

I'm 31 but went to see RE after 6 months of TTC because I had a 64 day cycle. I'm now on clomid cycle 2 and glad I went. :)

I personally would find a fertility dr as soon as you can. That's what I did after two months and so glad I did because he discovered issues. I figure you shouldn't wait to get tested for everything. GL!!
