why do they add the week of period to how many weeks you are . them bleeding days have actually nothing to do with conceiving lol they should calculate it from the day you ovulated . it really get us woman confuse on how far along we are and what we should be seeing on ultrasound

You just go by the first day of your last period. We all know it doesn't make since but it is what it is. I found out very early too, I was 3w3d.

They do it that way because many women don't know when they ovulated. It's just a standard way of counting. The average O day is 14 days after your period starts but we know that isn't always true :)
