Rosie's Journey to Glow

Rosie

Hi! I'm Rosie. My hubby and I are both 29 and trying to conceive #2 for us together but #3 for me.

I'm a bit of a statistic... And not in the good way (in a manner of speaking).

My first baby, a girl, turns 14 this year. I had her when I was young and she was adopted out to a family who were struggling to have a child of their own. It was a normal pregnancy, not really any complications, other than the common ones associated with a teen pregnancy.
My hubby and I had our first baby, a girl, together in 2010. She was extremely premature and in Australia there is no intervention until 24weeks. So we watched her grow her angel wings in front of our eyes. All because she didn't reach the cut off. I was told there was nothing that could be done, but deep down I could list the things that I knew I could have done different, or even worse, things I could have done better.

We grew together as a couple, and eventually got married and decided we were ready to try again, but this time for a rainbow baby.
4 furry creatures and a house later, here we are at Glow.
Unfortunately for us TTC has not been easy. My hubby is away a lot as he is military. I always seem to count the days to fertile and realise it's a week before he is home, or the week he is on training. He also goes on deployments back to back, but that's the hand we have been dealt.
We are both fairly healthy, however I have a newly diagnosed kidney condition where I am constantly monitored because it causes my blood pressure to skyrocket. It's not known how it will affect TTC, but now that everything is as stable as it will be, it's time for a good shot at adding to our family.
We have a lot of kids around us, and I get told all the time I'm a 'natural', but for now, other peoples kids just aren't what I need. I need to hold my baby in my arms and inhale that newborn scent, that unmistakable scent of joy and innocence...hopefully that comes sooner or later.
