Stephanie's journey to glow

St
In 2002 I was diagnosed with pcos. All the usual side effects. Was told it may affect fertility but I was only 24 and babies were not in my immediate future. Fast forward to 2011, 30kg lighter, dd conceived first month we tried. Wasn't a great pregnancy, was sick and stressed but my little one is healthy and happy thank goodness. After she turned one we decided to TTC again. Thought it may take a few months but that would give me a year at work part time, at a great new job, then I could take mat leave. After maybe 5 cycles, feeling fat and exhausted, I saw my GP who sent me for tests, I had low zinc and b12, both which cause fatigue, and affect ovulation. She also decided to start me on metformin again. Had been off it for four years by then. Conceived this time last year. Had a mmc at 9-10 weeks, baby died at 7 weeks. After d&c was told to wait a couple of months, however dh was very sick last year, so GP said give it at least 3 months. Used the time to get healthier and found glow to help me track periods. Met a lot of wonderful glowies who are a wealth of knowledge. Conceived again in January, saw the obgyn early and regularly, saw baby wriggle and his strong heartbeat. At 12 weeks my nausea eased off which worried me, at my nuchal scan, 12+6 baby was no longer alive. Had a d&c the next day. Deleted glow. All those baby buddies are due in just over a month. Tests showed dh and I are fine, baby had a trisomy that was fatal. Wait two cycles obgyn said. Stop metformin, your blood sugar is perfect. Exercise a lot more. Reloaded glow. It's much bigger now. Now into fourth cycle of TTC again. Clomid may be an option after 6 cycles as I'm nearly 36. Doing acupuncture which had really helped balance things-28 day cycles, the teacher in me loves the textbook- iness of that! So now just playing the numbers game and waiting for my month. Thanks to you all for your support and knowledge.
