Praying with spotting ?

Hey ladies can anyone tell me if I can pray with light brown spotting my AF is still 8 to 9 days away so it's obviously not AF bleeding but am I clean to pray or no ? I have no idea and m trying not to discuss with anyone else(family)if I don't get my bfp they're gonna ask later and I'm gonna feel miserable . Plz reply , again I was thinking of adding a pic but don't wanna add gross stuff lol . Help plz
