Military Partners?

Question

I decided to make a topic about those of us whose partners are in the military! I am 11 weeks pregnant and my husband is at BMT for the Air Force and graduates November 7th :) How did the process go for you during BMT? If you met them later, how did the transition into becoming a military spouse/partner go for you? I'd love to hear any stories, advice or tips!

We are both in the Army!  My advice is to be flexible and make the most of every second you have together!

My husbands RAF I met him when hed been in RAF for A few years, it's hard when they are away but you just make the most of it when they are here! It makes it more special ,my husband due to be coming out the RAF at end of the year I must admit I'll miss it I've met some great friends through raf ,we are very lucky where we are they are fantastic with organising events for wife's-partners when their oh are on deployment!  Xxxx

My partner is in the RAF and my father was RAF too so I suppose I'm pretty used to th force life and them going away etc. But the other ladies who are in the same boat, they're there for support and all stick together. Plus so are the force themselves. I enjoy being part of the military life :)

My husband is in the navy and I know for him we went to the basic traing graduation but they didn't have a graduation for his schooling.

My husband is in the army and I'm almost 12 weeks. Being a military wife is hard, there will be a lot of time without them or having them be so tired they sleep instead of spending time with you. It's all worth it though! I go to school and do things that I love with and without my husband. You just have to get used to quasi independence, which really isn't so bad!

My husband is a marine were at pendelton, he will be deploying next January I'm due in May :-/

My partner's in the army and he is going to miss 6 months of the pregnancy and 3 weeks before I'm due he's back ? thank god he is here for the first trimester
