For military....rant????

They say "that sucks" but in all reality you have no idea how much it really does "suck". They say you support our troops then tell me "Don't go thru that" but I WILL NOT leave him for defending OUR freedom. They say "4 months isn't long" but complain that you haven't seen your man in 3 days. It's so hard to hear all that and realize no one truly knows what military/law enforcement families go thru. It seems like they don't understand that those men and women put their lives on the line to protect us everyday.

What gets me the most is for the most part they don't care about the service members gf/bf, fiancé, husband/wife. They say they do but I feel unless you are friends with others in their unit you'll never be given information or some type of support.

It sucks. Especially while TTC. Mine just got back from 6 months overseas, and every day felt like a week without him. Hold your head high, we're a tough breed.

My brothet's wife went to Europe for a school trip for two weeks & texted me saying "now I know how you feel." I was like...ummm no. If I lived any where near our family I would never complain about him being gone,  but we live 2500 miles away from them.  & yes having a friend helps so much! !! Proud USAF wife♡

I know the feeling Hun my other half been away on 4month deployments to afghan and elsewhere every year since we met ! Have met some forces wives who are a great support! Xxx but have found other friends and family don't get it xxx

My fiance just started national guard last November and he was gone at basic training all summer.
He goes for AIT after he graduates. We are trying for #1

​But it hurts when I wouldn't see my hubby for 3 days or more 
​So I can understand how much pain you feel him being away for 6 months or even 4 it's hard 
​And I admire you for doing it 
​Being a military wife or gf is always gonna be hard the reward is seeing him when he comes home

I know exactly what you mean! My hubby joined the national guard in January and left for basic training in March. He just graduated AIT and is flying home on Tuesday. It will be the first time seeing him in almost a full 7 months!! It's been hard and everyone seems to think it's easy and not a long wait but it feels like forever. We had a miscarriage in December and we have baby fever big time, so that makes the waiting so much worse I think. But we get to start trying again soon so hopefully we'll become parents-to-be soon!!

When my husband was in the military I got upset when people tried to compare lifestyles. It was hard to hear people tell me to get over it and keep distracted when my husband had deployed. Sorry you're so frustrated.

Your are not alone,  I'm a military soar and I'm trying to prepare myself for a while year of my boo being in Korea!  It's tough but know you are not the only one who has to deal with the absence,  I think my biggest gripe is when he is away I'm asked if he is in jail! Like for real though,  do I give off the vibe that my husband is a jail bird? ?
