Notifications for Topic?

Is there anyway to get notifications for a topic that you've created? I've posted both anon/openly and neither time did I get notifications when people commented, etc. I don't even know how to get back to my topics!

Go to your setting and make sure the notifications is on

Also you should be able to see the results of a poll you created without having to vote in it.
