I'm one of those people that are prone to have them. I get them several times a year.
​One: UTIs are not contagious. They're not an STD, neither are they anything like them.
​Two: No. Don't have sex while you have one. Everything will get worse.
​I know an awesome remedy! Cranberry juice, ans tartar sauce. Yes, it's gross and chalky and bleh. But it flushes the infection out in about a day or two. Like seriously though. This gross remedy is a life saver, even for me.

Its also contagious, even if your partner doesnt show signs of it he can then become and carrier and just keep giving the uti back to you, been there time and time again and its not fun, its the same with any time of infection down there, ie: yeast, bacterial... Not a good idea

I get utis about 10 times a year. Yes I have a specialist. First of all I have been married for 6 years and have gotten them for around 5 years now. Don't once has my husband got a uti never ever in his life. I only drink water and cranberry juice I take cranberry vitamins 2 a day and there is no reason why I get them just prone. But the key to this is....My husband has never gotten a uti from me. And yes we have sex when I have one because most of the time I catch it before I'm peeing blood.

I did and I didn't want to hurt his feelings so I ignored the pain and it got so bad I started crying in the middle of sex. I could hardly move I hurt so bad.

I looked this up...  Yes and no.. It's not a sexual transmitted disease it's when bacteria travels through urethra into bladder .. Sex itself won't spread it.. Women are more likely them men because our urethra are much shorter then men.. However indirectly sex could cause it though it is very unlikely.. If the mans urethra brushes up against the woman's and gets the bacteria in his urethra .. But again this is very unlikely.. So no it's not sexually transmitted we don't not hold the bacteria in our vagibas to spread .. It's to do with bladders
