Getting pregant with polycystic ovary syndrome

I was recently diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Me & husband of two & half years are wanting to get pregnant and I'm currently on metformin she regulate my menstrual cycles. My doctor told me that if I don't get pregnant by march I will have to go on Clomid. Please help
