How long did it take you to say "I love you" ?

I'm 16, and I've always been one of those girls who are against falling in love as a teen, but now I'm turning into one of those girls who fall in love. I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 9 months, and I still haven't said it. He said it to me after 2, and I told him I wasn't ready for it. Our relationship evolved. We've been through the worst fights and so much crap together, and somehow managed to get through it. We used to hang out just to make out or do stuff, but now, I'm happy just being with him just talking. I'm starting to crave him, but not sexually...I crave being near him just to be with him..just to talk or hangout. I used to be so infatuated with him but now it's different. The thing is, I'm still so against falling in love while in high school, and it's making me question whether or not I actually love him.

For me it was sooner with my husban we grew up together so we have always had that love for each other, but I honestly believe if you feel in your heart you love your boyfriend then it right to say it. There's no "right timing" it all comes down to if you truly feel that way then go for it :)

If you love him you love him :) let him know. Why not?? I'm a big believer in telling others how you feel..you never know what tomorrow holds.

As a former "I hate love" club member, I can say I understand. But personally, after experiencing EXACTLY what you described, I decided to let myself fall in love. And I can tell you it's AMAZING. He is so much happier knowing that I feel the same way about him and we both feel more important and cared about in the relationship. I feel like it signaled to him that I really truely value him and that he makes me feel loved, which is his end goal. If you feel it, say it! Never let anything important like this go I said! 2 years. I was 18 when we met and it wasn't until our 2 yr anniversary that he first said the words. I knew I loved him long before that, but we didn't need to say it, we were just happy in the moment.

I said it the day my boyfriend asked me out, because it was true. I don't know why people have this weird problem with saying they love someone. I love my family, my friends, my pets, etc.. So, since I was friends with him before and had a huge crush on him already, I did love him (still do) and had no problems voicing it.

I'm 23 and said I love you for the first time in my life to my current boyfriend. It took 7 months. I feel like when you know you know age really doesn't matter! :) 
​Judging by how it sounds by the post anyways you do love him! You can fight it or embrace it. Love is love no matter what age.
