Is this abnormal?

I used to always get my period for 6 days every 4 weeks. However, my last 4 cycles have lasted 5 days and have been 3 weeks apart. Is it normal for my cycle to a of the sudden change like that? I'm 16 but I've had my period since I was 12 and I'm still a virgin.

Your body is still developing and will take time to settle into a pattern. However, it can't hurt to talk to a doctor if it worries you.

This is completely natural. Until you are in your mid-twenties it is possible, and normal, for you to have an irregular period. I am going to be 18 soon and my period is all wacky. Especially during finals month I tend to skip that month completely due to the increased stress levels.

Remember, multiple things can cause your period to change from your normal cycle, whether it's: stress,  dietary changes, increased activity, climate changes (which can cause your body temperature to change a little), something medications can cause a change, and even if you start having sex or start masturbating more often or less it can change your cycle a little bit.

Of course, if you are very worried about it, or would prefer to have a steady cycle,  visit your gyno and take to them!
