Anyone else feel like an addict?

I am craving a way to get a buzz! (33yo, 7wks, unplanned) I just feel overwhelmed about not being able to drink or take meds or ride roller coasters or go sky diving... 
​I plan to breastfeed, so I don't see any light at the end of this sobriety tunnel and its freaking me out!

Trust me. It's worth it. 9 months isn't that long, plus you have the rest of your life to do all that stuff after baby.

It sucks for a little while, but it will pass.. The baby will be born and your body will be yours again.. And you can have a glass of wine or a beer , will not hurt the baby in breast milk. You can also pump out milk you think may have alcohol in it , and guess what? Your body makes more! Don't freak, just be patient.. Time really does speed up after the baby comes.. You will be done breast feeding before you know it...

Omg yes!! I was ttc and I figured i had plenty od time to get my fun in before i convinced..well i was wrong! One plus side of all the "nos and donts" are I dont have to clean the kitty litter box any more :)

It gets easier, trust me!!! Once you are used to not doing those things it gets better. Just gotta focus on the other good things, no hangovers, cute baby stuff, indulging in cravings... And it is a finite time period?

LOL! I love this. I hardly ever drink. Like maybe a glass of red wine here and there. But of course now that I am pregnant, it's the one thing I want. I totally understand your pain.

Lol I feel you ! I loved to drink before I got pregnant and smoked weed for medical purpose and 100% sober and plan to be till I'm done breast feeding. My advice is to go out with friends eat some good food and laugh a lot ! Your body relises dopamine it's a chemical that makes you really happy and feel good, drugs help realse this too in your brain. So do it naturally and have a grat laugh or two to get a buzz!

Yes. Your life is about changing .... You aren't able to do these things - and some other you'll find out about later... It sucks. Yes. Some day you'll do all this things again. Give it time some month.... Realy: as soon as you feel your baby and your belly is growing you'll think of other things and you won't miss them to much. It's great that you plan breastfeeding!
